Chapter 6: Network Applications
Now that your CableFREE Home Network is setup, you are ready to share your
resources. All the networked PCs can share resources such as high-speed Internet
access, CD-ROM drives, printers, scanners, disk space, applications, etc.
The following procedure is based on Windows 95. Different Windows operating
systems may have a slightly different flow and screens.
6.1 File Sharing
6.1.1 Sharing Files to the Network
You can use the resource sharing utility on the CableFREE toolbar to share a hard
disk drive or CD-ROM drive. If you only want to share specific files, you need to
uncheck the shared drive in the CableFREE utility and then designate which files
are to be shared.
step1. Double-click My Computer or open Windows Explorer. Select the
object (disk/folder/file etc.) to be shared, for example, the My
Documents folder
step2. Click File on the main menu bar to open the drop-down menu list
