Chapter 4: CableFREE Utility Use
The CableFREE Utility is available from the CableFREE toolbar and the
CableFREE icon on the taskbar. There are six functions on the CableFREE
toolbar, and five main functions available from the CableFREE taskbar icon.
These functions allow users to switch between different network environments,
setup resource sharing options, monitor network performance, and modify the
system configuration.

The functions available from the CableFREE toolbar include:

Adapter Information: Including troubleshooting and adapter status report
2.
Network Profiles: Creates, views, and modifies network profiles, including
network adapter, NetBlaster ID, and other network related settings. After
creating network profiles, you can use Network Hopper (available from the
NetBlaster Taskbar icon) to switch between different network environments
quickly
3.
Resource Sharing: Allows users to setup printer/file sharing applications
4.
Connection Quality: A diagnostic tool for users to check the connection
quality
5.
Traffic Viewer: Monitors data transmissions in real time
6.
Network Watcher: For Non-NetBlaster users to monitor the computers on the
network
These tools can also be accessed from both the CableFREE taskbar icon and the
Windows Start menu.
