8.13.1 Engine oil level – Check at sight glass

Preconditions

☑

Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

Engine oil level check at sight
glass

Make a preliminary visual check of oil lev-
el (2) at the sight glass (1).

A proper engine oil level check must always
be carried out using the oil dipstick
(→ Page 120).
