28.2 FUEL ELECTRIC PUMP “1” UNIT
The fuel electric pump unit consists of:
-
electric pump “A”;
- fuel filter “B”;
- pressure adjuster “C”;
- anti-collapse prefilter “D”;
- fuel level sensor “E”.
N.B.
Always make sure the system is clean when
disassembling and assembling the piping and
the components.

ISASSEMBLY
• Turn ignition switch to “OFF” “ ” .
• Disassemble the front seat, as described in section E,
subsection 4;
• Remove tank as described in subsection 29 of this
section.
• Position tank on a clean surface, with the pump unit
facing upwards.
Handle tank with care. Do not score or damage
paintwork.
• Loosen and remove fastening screws “G”;
• Take out and remove the fuel electric pump unit “F”;
WARNING
When removing the pump unit, take care not to
damage pipes and fuel level sensor.

EASSEMBLY
• Perform the disassembly procedure in reverse order.
If some sediments are present inside the anti-
collapse prefilter “D”, use a jet of compressed
air to clean it. Make sure to aim jet so as not to
make foreign matter enter the prefilter.
