DynaCrease Tilt Potentiometer:-

Setting the Vacuum Drum and Papergate:-

The Dynacrease Tilt is controlled by a mechanism which uses a potentiometer to measure its
position. This information is then available to the Operator on the Main Display Screen. This
Pot, which is located at the bottom of the Tilt Mechanism on the Operator Side of the machine,
will require calibrating:-

Remove the Balls from the Sidelay.

Open the Input Roller gap fully by releasing the Locking Screw and using the 4mm
hexagon key to move it down towards the Loading Table. (See Section 8 of the Service
Manual).

Place a Test Sheet on the Loading Table with its Lay Edge against the Fixed Side Lay &

slide it through the open Input Rollers until the lead edge just enters the DynaCrease
Unit.

It should be possible to visually check the parallel alignment of the lead edge of the

sheet with the Upper Tie Bar of the DynaCrease Unit.

If adjustment is required, turn the DynaCrease Tilt Adjustment Knob (far right) until the

lead edge of the sheet is parallel with the Upper Tie Bar of the DynaCrease Unit.

Loosen the lower far left hand potentiometer coupling screw, rotate the pot until the

display for Tilt reads 0.00 & then tighten the coupling screw.

The Vacuum Drum, which is part of the Feed System, is driven by a Stepper Motor which is
programmed to start after the sheet to be fed has been secured to the drum by the Vacuum.
Due to the specialised nature of the drum slot profile the position at which it starts (& therefore
stops) is related to the lateral position of the Papergate.

Check that the edge of the Papergate is positioned to clear the rotation of the Vacuum

drum.

If adjustment is required, loosen the locking set screw (located within the hole at the

rear body section), & rotate the Papergate until the correct position is achieved.
Tighten the locking screw.

14.3. Operate the System Switch to start the motors. Operate the On button to start the

Vacuum Drum. Whilst the drum is running, turn Off to "Stop Feeding" and the
drum will stop.

14.4. Check the position of the drum slots - the left hand edge of the slot in the drum

should be flush with the face of the Papergate. If Adjustment is required, enter the

Engineering Tools section, Select "
