Settings for Sending a Fax

Resolution

Insert the document into the ADF.

If you send documents with normal
print or typed documents, adjustments are not necessary. To change the
resolution press

RESOLUTION

allows four adjustments:

Note

SUPER FINE

and

HALFTON

raise the cost and transmission time con-

siderably.

If the remote fax is not capable of receiving documents in SUPER FINE
your machine automatically switches back to next possible resolution.

Standard

This is the normal resolution for most typed documents and
simple drawings.

Fine

Fine resolution is suitable for maps, newspaper articles etc.

S. Fine

This is the finest resolution. (Highest resolution 203 dpi x 392
dpi).

Half tone

Halftone mode captures shades in photographs and drawings.
