Problem

Solution

Communication error

Most errors are caused by bad lines. Please try
again to contact the other fax machine. If the prob-
lem persists, contact the technical service.

The quality of the copies
is bad.

If black stripes appear on the copy, clean the scan-
ner surface. If the printout is too light or blurred, re-
move the toner cartridge and shake it.

Print of the copy
is blurred

Adjust the paper guides.

Pages come out wrinkled and there are
frequent paper jams and double feed-
ings.

Check the paper size and paper type. Make sure
the paper is not wrinkled or folded.

The other fax machine's printouts are
distorted.

Adjust the paper guides.

Although the paper cassette has been
refilled the error light is on and the mes-
sage "NO PAPER" appears on the
LCD.

Make sure the paper cassette is properly loaded.
Make sure the 2nd paper tray is properly locked.

Printout quality is becoming worse.

Replace the drum cartridge.

The reception copy is distorted.

Probably the paper was not properly fed on the re-
mote side. Ask for a new transmission.

The other fax machine's printouts are
blurred.

Make a photocopy with your fax machine. If it is
blurred, clean the scanner. If the problem persists,
contact the technical service.
