5.8.1. Specifications for the installation
The measures indicated in this chapter are the maximum possible for a proper installation with the cables
provided.
The warm water
doesn’t damage the Waste Grinder but it dissolves the fats that, settling on the tubes, may
cause future cloggings. It is suggested the use of cold water. Please refer to the chapter 2.3.2 for the
temperature regulation.
Connect the Waste Grinder to a 16 A socket. Power supply line needs to be grounded.
Do not use adaptors or multiple sockets.
All the cablings should be done in conformity with current regulations.
Do not keep flammable objects as flammable liquids and spray cans near the Waste Grinder: The induction
motor generates sparks every time it is switched on.
5.8.2. How to install the Waste Grinder on eGROSS /eGROSS pro-x
Before proceeding with the installation, check that all parts are present:
Waste Grinder
To install the Waste Grinder,
it’s necessary to have a Schuko socket at 50cm (19.6in) height
from the ground in the position shown in the following pictures, between the sink and the
left leg of eGROSS/eGROSS pro-x.
The length of the power cord is about 90cm (35.4in).
To ensure optimal drainage, laboratory's waste water discharge must be less then 30cm
(11.8in) high max.
