Below the feet supplied that can be fixed over their supports (see the yellow circles) by the screws provided.
Connect the fume
outlet of the unit to the filter’s inlet. Pay attention to the direction of travel of the air shown
by the red arrows (the figure reports the filter inlet connection).
Connect the filter outlet to the 3m pipe supplied and carry out the connection to the laboratory inlet.
The Ventilation system connected to the unit must compensate for the 550Pa pressure drop of the filter.
Even if the filter is in use, it is necessary to connect the unit to a fume extraction system.
Dispose of the pre-filter, the HEPA filter and the active carbon sheets according to current
regulations.
The maximum estimated lifetime of the pre-filter and the HEPA filter H14 is one year.
The maximum estimated lifetime of the active carbon filter cartridges is 6 months*,
estimated value considering an average use of the fan at 50% of the maximum velocity for
6 hours every day, 5 days per week and with the presence of formalin in the air of the
working area for the 80% of the working time of the Unit.
*with these conditions, the filters manufacturer guarantees a filtration efficiency of 70%.
The environmental presence of chemical elements outside the working area and a use more
frequent than the data reported above (fan velocity, working days) requires a more frequent
replacement of the filter cartridges.
The use of the fumes filter as specified does not replace the requirement of authorized
personnel to carry out environmental monitoring, nor can it guarantee the absence of staff
exposure to chemicals or the removal of personal protective equipment, as required by
government regulations of the final country where the unit is installed.
