DC Power Cables

Determine the required power cable gauge by the length of the cable (loop length), the
allowable voltage drop over the run, and the current to be carried. Chapter 1 specifies
radio current drain.

Table 4-B lists minimum wire gauge requirements for convenience.

Verifying DC Cabling

After installing the rack and prior to applying power, verify proper power and ground
cabling by checking that no short exists between the rack ground and battery leads.
