Whenever

Guard Bar

is enabled, the presence of guard bars is required for decoding

to take place.

Range Mode (Interleaved 2 of 5)

Note:

Whenever

Guard Bar

is enabled, the presence of guard bars is required for decoding

to take place.

Usage:

Useful when I 2 of 5 multisymbols are enabled to prevent false data out-

put. This typically occurs with highly tilted or skewed symbols.

Definition:

A guard bar is a heavy bar, at least 2 times the width of the wide bar, surrounding

the printed I 2 of 5 symbol and helping to prevent false reads.

Definition:
