PROBLEM
CAUSE
CORRECTION
Trying to cut too much grass/too fast.
Throttle in “CHOKE” position.
The build-up of grass, leaves, dirt and
other trash under mower.

There is water in the fuel.

Raise cutting height/reduce speed.

Clean and re-gap or change spark plug.

The tractor is losing
power during
operation
Blades are worn, bent or loose.
Mower deck is not level.
The build-up of grass, leaves, dirt and
other trash under mower.
The blade mandrel is bent.
Clogged mower deck vent holes from
buildup of grass, leaves, and trash
around mandrels. Replace blades. Tighten blade bolts.
Level mower deck.
Clean underside of mower housing.
Replace blade mandrel.
Clean around mandrels to open vent holes.

The grass cut is
very poor and
uneven
The engine speed is too slow.
The traveling speed is too fast.
The grass is wet and has moisture.
Mower deck not level.
Tyre air pressure is low or uneven.
Worn, bent or loose blade.
The build-up of grass, leaves, dirt and
other trash under mower.
Mower drive belt is worn out.
Blades improperly installed.
Improper blades used.
Clogged mower deck vent holes from
buildup of grass, leaves, and trash
around mandrels. Place throttle control in “FAST” position.
Shift to slower speed.
Allow grass to dry before mowing.
Level mower deck.
Check tires for proper air pressure.
Replace blade. Tighten blade bolt.
Clean underside of mower housing.
Replace mower drive belt.
Reinstall blades sharp edge down.
Replace with blades listed in this manual.
Clean around mandrels to open vent holes.
