Lawn Tractor Rear Discharge

When using the lawn tractor, it is important to determine if
the slope of the land is safe to mow. Take the following
measures to determine the safety of the slope:
1. Disengage the blades.
2. Position the rear of the lawn tractor to face up the slope.
3. Engage the gear into reverse.
4. Slowly reverse straight back up the slope.
5. If you can achieve this, in general terms the slope is safe
to mow, however, in addition to this, you should also use
the following procedure:
a. Fold this page along dotted line indicated above.
b. Hold the page in front of you and position the
left edge of the page against a vertically parallel
such as a tree trunk, corner of an upright
structure, a power line pole or a fence.
c. Sight across the fold in the direction of hill slope
you want to measure.
d. Compare the angle of the fold with the slope of
the hill.
6. If the slope angle is above 10 degrees DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO CUT THE LAWN.
