3-12 | Model 920 Multi-Gas Analyzer

Installing the Sample System

Final “As-Built” drawings of the analyzer sample system components
are included in the analyzer Documentation Package.

Installing the Sample Probe, SCU, or Steam Jacketed Sample/

Vent Valves

For important information on installing this equipment, refer to the Final
“As-Built” drawings.

Allow sufficient clearance above the Sample Probe and Vent Valve
Assemblies for easy removal.

If using a Sample Conditioning Unit (SCU) or AMETEK’s op-
tional Heated Acid Gas (HAG) Sample Probe, refer to the analyzer
Documentation Package for more installation information. Also, see
the HAG Sample Probe “Installation and Maintenance Guide” for
complete installation information.

If possible, install the Sample Probe Valve approximately 8–10 pipe di-
ameters away from any process piping component that causes process
turbulence, such as bends, valves, etc.


