The coil mounted on the system feed is connected to a cold water pipe, which flows through it only when a
thermal valve with a sensor immersed in the boiler feed opens when the set temperature is exceeded. The
water passes through the coil and removes heat from the boiler water jacket, before being discharged into a
cooling sump, as diverting the hot water directly into the sewer pipes could damage them.
The coil is able to reduce the temperature of the water in the boiler jacket by several degrees within a few
seconds. If the temperature of water in the boiler jacket falls below the preset value, the valve closes the water
supply to the coil.

In solutions with a safety coil built into the boiler, for example, thermal protection is used.
Solid fuel boilers with automatic fuel feed do not pose a significant risk of uncontrolled temperature rise in the
central heating system, as the amount of fuel fed to the burner is small. Moreover, in the event of a temperature
rise, safety devices and actions are automatically triggered without the user's intervention.
However, if something does not work properly, the controller will shut down the feeder for 30 seconds to
remove the embers from it. If the feeder temperature does not decrease two minutes after the attempt to
remove the embers, the controller will make another attempt. If the controller fails to reduce the feeder
temperature after four attempts after the temperature of 85°C is reached, the boiler will be stopped and the
boiler will be put out on an emergency basis.
