Function of ESP
®
Crosswind Assist
ESP
®
Crosswind Assist detects suddenly occur‐
ring crosswinds and helps the driver to keep the
vehicle in the lane:
R
ESP
®
Crosswind Assist is active from approx.
50 mph (80 km/h) when driving straight
ahead or on gentle curves.
R
The vehicle is stabilized by a targeted and
one-sided brake intervention. The instrument
cluster then displays a message with the traf‐
fic sign for strong crosswind.
