Parking Brake
Pull up p a rk in g brake lever. The
brake in d ic a to r lam p on th e in s tru ­
m ent c lu s te r w ill co m e on w hen the
key is in s te e rin g lo c k p o s itio n 2.
To release th e p a rk in g brake, s lig h t­
ly p u ll up lever, push in lo c k b u tto n
at th e g rip th e n lo w e r it co m p le te ly.
The in d ic a to r lam p on th e in s tru ­
m e n t c lu s te r m ust go o u t w hen the
lever is dow n.
Starting and Shifting Gears

Test th e service brake befo re d riv ­
ing off.
W arm up th e e n g in e sm o o th ly . Do
n o t place fu ll load on th e e n g ine
u n til th e o p e ra tin g te m p e ra tu re has
been reached.
W hen ta k in g o ff on a s lip p e ry s u r­
face, do n o t a llo w one d riv in g w heel
to spin fo r an e xte n d e d p eriod.

fro m 1st to 2nd at 21 km /h/13 mph
fro m 2nd to 3rd at 39 km /h/24 mph
fro m 3rd to 4th at 53 km /h/33 mph
fro m 4th to 5th at 79 km /h/49 mph.
