Check the Oil Bladder in the Drive Motor Assembly
Visually inspect the drive motor cable and housing assembly before deployment. Confirm that the
compensating oil bladder has sufficient silicone oil (the oil can be topped off if necessary). To
inspect the drive motor oil bladder, complete the following steps:
1.
Keep the drive motor connected to the rotator assembly. Place an index finger on
the oil bladder located at the bottom of the drive motor housing and press gently.

A properly filled bladder (as shown in Figure 6.2-2) indents approximately one
inch when slight pressure is applied with the index finger on the center of the
bladder.
3.
If the bladder indents further than one inch, complete the steps listed next to top
off the oil.
When inspecting the compensating oil bladder, keep clear of sharp objects.
