246 Appendix J: Troubleshooting
Before calling technical support
In the event that the previous sections do not resolve your issue and you need to
contact Technical Support, it is important to determine and provide some
diagnostic information from your Matrox Iris GT, by performing the following:
1. Go to the Essential Information page of the Matrox Iris portal website, and save
a copy of the page to your MyShared folder on your development computer.
2. Open a command prompt window and type the following at the prompt:
A welcome message appears, followed by the telnet prompt.
3. At the telnet prompt, type the following:
MILInfo is a MIL utility that scans your smart camera and creates a Sysinfo.txt file
in the \\MyComputer\MyShared folder. The command requests information from
your Matrox Iris GT. This includes MIL version information, Matrox Iris GT
operating system information, network information, and registry information.

Note that this process can take several minutes.
4. When the process completes, send us the file, along with a general description of
your issue, and a copy of the Essential information page from your Matrox
Iris GT.
D Your Matrox Iris GT is
out of memory. None, however the
Power LED blinks
green then red, and
then repeats. 1. A critical out of memory error has occurred. Stop all
running MIL applications and make certain they will not
launch on the restart of your Matrox Iris GT.
2. Launch the Mammon utility to monitor your
application’s memory usage. Then, step through the MIL
application to see where memory usage exceeds
expectations.
