Maxedia 4

Plugins

Plugins are the most basic component of a layer.  Most plugins can be adjusted with the layer
parameters listed above.  In addition most plugins have some parameters that are specific to them. 
Below is a description of each plugin as well as a list of parameters specific to each.

Video Effects

Media Player

The Media Player creates a screen which displays video or texture files.

Video

Belt

In

fader

Sets the point in the video file where playback will begin every time it
loops.

Out

fader

Sets the point in the video file where playback will stop (and restart if
looping is selected.)

Loop Mode

toggle

Selects whether the video will play once and freeze at the end or
restart and keep playing on a continual loop.

Start Offset

2 way fader

0-50% sets how long after the cue is started the video will wait to
start playing the first time. 50-100% sets how far into the video it will
start playing when the cue is first started. Unlike changing the In
point, this will only effect the first time the video plays when the cue
starts, and not subsequent loops.

Frame Blending

toggle With Frame Blending set to On the video will run more smoothly

at speeds other than 30fps.

Override Frame Rate

toggle When set to On this will force the video to play at 30fps.

Start Synced

toggle

Random Zoom

The Random Zoom plugin snaps between different views of the player media, zooming in on a different
random point in the media at each view change.
