Maxedia 4

Play Back Cues

There are two main ways to play back cues on the Maxedia; using a DMX console to trigger cues, or
triggering cues manually on the Maxedia touch screen.  Which method to use depends on the
circumstances of your show.  In most cases, when programming time is available, and definitely for a
touring or recurring show, using a DMX console to trigger Maxedia cues along with lighting cues is
preferred.  Using the Maxedia manually may work better for you for video jockeying and one-off shows
with limited programming time (when there is a Maxedia programmer and a lighting programmer with
no time to integrate the two).

Manual Play Back

When running a show manually you may use the 

CueByCue Mixer

, 

A-B Mixer

 or a custom

screen you have designed to trigger the cues.

Place cues in easy to find groups and in running order when laying out your cues in the Cue Pages. 
You may want to make a page for each act or song and rename that page to make things easier to
find while running the show.

Console Control

Maxedia DMX Control is divided into 6 different fixture types. 
It is not necessary to patch all of them to operate the Maxedia. At the minimum the DMX control
should be patched for the BASE fixture.

For DMX control it is very important to have the Fade and Snap assignments as well as all parameter
default values correctly set

. 

Please contact your console manufacturer for proper implementation of the Maxedia DMX Fixtures.
