Mounting the special tool

• Insert the

Extractor device [117]

(3) into the

crankshaft gear (4)

• Clamp the

Extractor device [117]

(3) at the

clamping bolts (2)

• Screw in two opposite-facing ywheel bolts (1) and

(5)

Extracting the radial shaft seal

• Screw the

Impact extractor [116]

(1) into the

Extractor device [117]

(2)

• Extract the crankshaft gear (4) with the

Impact

extractor [116]

(1)

• Unscrew the ywheel bolts (5)
• Remove the radial shaft seal (3) from the

crankshaft gear (4)

Installing the rear radial shaft seal

Installation position of crankshaft gear

• Align the crankshaft gear so the marks (1) match

up with the camshaft gear mark (2)

Installing the crankshaft gear

WARNING
Component

insufciently tight t

• Fit a new crankshaft gear every time

after the crankshaft gear/ywheel
screw connection is unscrewed

• Align the alignment pin (3) for the crankshaft gear

(2) with the bore in the crankshaft (1)

• Put on the crankshaft gear (2) and install using a

soft hammer until the stop is reached
