ADD-ON UNITS

Detaching the holder

• Unscrew the mounting bolts (1)
• Remove the holder (2)

Unscrewing the poly-V-belt pulley mounting nut

• Put on the

Special spanner [6]

(2) with

Gripper [7]

(3) on the poly-V-belt pulley mounting nut

• Insert the splined spanner (1) into the alternator

shaft splines

• Brace the splined spanner (1) and unscrew the

mounting nut

Detaching the poly-V-belt pulley

• Unscrew the mounting nut (1)
• Remove the poly-V-belt pulley (2) from the

alternator shaft

Installing the alternator

Attaching the poly-V-belt pulley

• Push the poly-V-belt pulley (2) onto the alternator

shaft

• Lightly apply

Loctite 2701

on the thread and

contact surface of the new mounting nut (1)

• Screw on the new mounting nut (1)

Tightening the poly-V-belt pulley mounting nut

• Put on the

Special spanner [6]

(2) with

Gripper [7]

(3) on the poly-V-belt pulley mounting nut

• Insert the splined spanner (1) into the alternator

shaft splines

• Hold the splined spanner (1) steady and tighten

the mounting nut to

95 Nm
