CYLINDER HEAD

Removing the cylinder head

Removing the crane hook lugs on the left and
right

• Unscrew the mounting bolts (1)
• Remove the crane hook lug (2)
• Unscrew the mounting bolts (4)
• Remove the crane hook lug (3)

Assembling the special tool

• Insert the

Torque multiplier i = 1 : 3.3 [69]

(1) into

the

Support [70]

(2)

• Attach the

Holding device [72]

(5) with

Cylinder

head bolt [73]

(4) and

Adapter [76]

(3) on

Support [70]

(2)

• Put the

Torque angle gauge [71]

(9) on the

Torque

multiplier i = 1 : 3.3 [69]

(1)

• Put the

Socket, size 22 [68]

(8) on the

Torque

multiplier i = 1 :

3.3 [69]

(1) and secure

with

Connecting pin [74]

(7) and

Rubber ring,

42 mm [75]

(6)

• Insert one

Socket [77]

each into the

Holding

device [72]

(5) and the

Socket, size 22 [68]

(8)

Unscrewing sequence for cylinder head bolts

• Unscrew the cylinder head bolts in the unscrewing

sequence (1) to (6)

Unscrewing the cylinder head bolts

• Fit the special tool (1) on the cylinder head bolt to

be unscrewed

• Unscrew all the cylinder head bolts as per the

unscrewing sequence using the special tool (1)

Detaching the cylinder head

• Unscrew the cylinder head bolts (3)
• Remove the cylinder head (2)
• Remove the cylinder head gasket (1)
• Clean the sealing surfaces
• Clean the tapped holes in the crankcase
