Upper Spindle Cover Removal

The upper spindle cover [1] (

) pro-

tects spindle mounted components from
exposure to chips, coolant, and undesired
contact during automatic operations. Removal
of the upper spindle cover is required to
access these components for adjustment.

To remove the upper spindle cover:

1. Remove the 13 (M4×5) cross-head screws

[2]

2. Lift upper cover up and away from bottom

cover [3].
