Measuring Reel Clearance
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected start-up or fall of raised machine, always stop engine, remove key, and
engage safety props before going under header for any reason.
WARNING
Never start or move the machine until you are sure all bystanders have cleared the area.
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Lower the header fully on level ground.

Set the fore-aft position to the middle position (

) on fore-
aft position decal (A).
4.
Lower the reel fully.
5.
Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the
ignition.

NOTE:
The reel is factory-set to provide more clearance at the
center of the reel than at the ends (frown) to compensate
for reel flexing.
NOTE:
When measuring reel clearance at the center of a double-
reel header, measure the lowest reel.
