Secure the circuit pack in the shelf using the latch levers and replace
the optical fibers.

Result:

FAULT

ACTIVE

LED lights.

FAULT

LED

begins flashing after about 20 seconds.

CR/MJ

or

MN/ABN

LEDs on the SYSCTL circuit pack light when the circuit
pack is installed.

If responses are not correct when replacing the combination circuit
pack, check the connections. If the connections are correct, replace the
circuit pack with the wrong response. (The red

FAULT

LED normally

flashes when a circuit pack is monitored and there is no signal
present.)

If both the original circuit pack and the replacement circuit pack fail
when no other transmission circuit packs are installed in the shelf,
replace the SYSCTL circuit pack. Refer to
