Important! The Cross-Connections Initialization parameter only
applies to new shelf installations. Regardless of the value you
choose on this screen, previously provisioned cross-connections
for the in-service NE are not affected.
On Screen 4, select the Cross-Connections Initialization parameter you
wish for your system (Enabled or Disabled).
Cross-connections are initialized during two scenarios:
•
The
init-sys:ph=9
command (
Fault
→
Reset
→
Initialize
System
) is run.
•
The first Main pack is initially inserted into a slot that is not
configured. This scenario typically occurs during initial software
download in shelf turn up.
Legal values for the Cross-Connections Initialization parameter are:
•
Enabled (default). When the Cross-Connections Initialization
parameter is set to Enabled, initialization removes all
cross-connections, and establishes the default 1+1
cross-connections.
•
Disabled. When the Cross-Connections Initialization parameter is
set to Disabled, initialization removes all cross-connections.
