GFS-2 M

AINTENANCE

This chapter provides instructions for basic maintenance procedures for the

GFS-2. The following procedures are covered in this chapter:

• Shutting down the Fabric
• Replacing a Switch
• Recovering from a Power Failure (Disaster Recovery)
• Running Built-In Self-Test (BIST)

Shutting Down the Fabric

Follow these steps for a graceful shutdown of the fabric.

Shut down all host devices.

Shut down all storage devices.

3

Shut down all edge switches.

4

Shut down all core switches.
