NOTE. If the switch is installed in a closed or multi-rack assembly, verify that
the temperature around the rack does not exceed the allowed limits.
• Be sure 10BaseT cables are away from sources of electrical noise, such as radios,
power lines, and fluorescent lighting fixtures.

Unpacking the Switch
Carefully remove the contents from the shipping container and check each
item for damage. If any item is missing or damaged, contact your SANcastle
representative or reseller for support. It is recommended to return all packing
materials to the shipping container and retain them for future use.
The following items come with each switch:

• RJ-45 to DB-9 Serial Cable
