9. Remove the PCI cards that are installed. See “PCI card” on page 172.

10. Remove the full-length PCI Express card that is installed. See “Full-length PCI Express card” on

page 180.

11. Remove the memory modules that are installed. See “Memory module” on page 188.

12. Remove the heat sink and fan assemblies. See “Heat sink and fan assemblies” on page 190.

13. Record the cable routing and cable connections, and then disconnect all cables from the system board.

See “Parts on the system board” on page 35.

14. Press the metal retainer to release the failing system board. Then push the failing system board toward

the metal retainer and carefully lift the system board out of the chassis.
