Front fan assembly

Attention:

Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter

1 “Read this first: Important safety information” on page 1.

CAUTION:

Hazardous moving parts. Keep fingers and other body parts away.

To replace a front fan assembly, do the following:

1. Prepare your computer. See “Preparing your computer and removing the computer cover” on page 101.

2. Locate the failing front fan assembly. See “Computer components” on page 32.

3. Press the tab

and slide the front fan assembly outward by the handle

to remove it from the chassis.
