5. Open the small handle

by gently pressing down the small handle. Then pull the small handle slightly

outward to release it from the secured position. Then, open the other small handle

by following the

same instructions. Ensure that the small handles are in the fully open position.

Note:

There are two marks on the microprocessor retainer. You must open the small handle marked

with

first and then you can open the other small handle marked with

6. Gently press down the small handle

to open the microprocessor retainer. Pivot the retainer upward

until it is in the fully open position.

7. Touch the static-protective package that contains the new microprocessor to any unpainted surface on

the outside of the computer. Then, remove the new microprocessor from the package.
