device to cool down.

In the event of a fire: Do not extinguish with water! Smother

flames with a fireproof blanket or a suitable fire extinguisher.

WARNING – Danger of Injury

The device gets hot and must not be moved while in use.

Never leave the device unsupervised when it is hot. In particular,

make sure that no children or persons who are not capable of

correctly recognising or reacting to possible dangers come near

the hot device.

Ensure that children do not have unsupervised access to the

device. Incorrect use can be dangerous.

Make sure that the connecting cable does not present a trip

hazard.

Hot steam may escape when the lid is opened. You should

therefore keep your head and hands out of the danger zone.

There is a danger of scalding from heat, hot steam or conden-

sation.

Use grill utensils with long, heat-resistant handles.

NOTICES FOR ASSEMBLY

PLEASE NOTE!

Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.

There is a danger of suffocation.

•  Ensure there is sufficient space to assemble the device and if

necessary use a mat to protect the device or delicate floors from

being scratched.

•  Assemble the device on a horizontal, flat surface to make sure it

is straight.

•  Follow the assembly steps shown in these assembly and operat-

ing instructions.

Incorrect assembly can be dangerous.

•  Do not apply any force when assembling the device.
•  First tighten the screw connections so they are hand-tight and

then tighten them again properly once you have completed the

assembly step. Otherwise this may cause unwanted tension.

•  Tighten the nuts until they fit firmly, and then turn them a quar-

ter turn more. Do not tighten them too hard!

BEFORE INITIAL USE

1.  Rinse the grill racks (

27

), the warming rack (

28

) and the grease

tray (

3

) with detergent and warm water to remove any pro-

duction residues

To do this, note the

“After Use / Cleaning and

Storage” chapter.

2.  The device should be used for the first time without any food

in it as it may produce some smoke or odours due to coating

residues. Allow the barbecue to heat up on the highest temper-

ature setting for approx. 30 minutes without any food in it with

the lid closed. To do this, follow the instructions in the “Set-Up

and Connection” and “Use” chapters.

3.  Allow the racks and the grease tray to cool down and then

clean them again.

SET-UP AND CONNECTION

PLEASE NOTE!

Do not use the barbecue beneath a canopy that is flammable.

Only connect the barbecue to a plug socket that is properly

installed and matches the technical data of the barbecue. The

plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so

that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.

Unwind the connecting cable fully before connecting up the

barbecue.

To protect the barbecue from splashing or falling into water,

maintain a minimum distance of 305 cm (10 feet) away from

any bodies of water such as pools or ponds.

1.  Set up the barbecue on a stable, horizontal and flat surface.

Ensure there is sufficient clear space on all sides, particularly

towards the barbecue chamber (

32

).

2.  If necessary, lock the castors (

19

) by twisting the wing nuts.

3.  Open the lid (

31

).

4.  Slide the grease tray (

3

) onto the rails below the barbecue

unit (

1

) on the back of the barbecue.

To pull out the grease tray, lift it up slightly by its handle to

release it from its locked position.

5.  Insert the two grill racks (

27

) and if required the warming

rack (

28

) (Picture

G

).

6.  Fold up the side tables (

2, 29

) and let them engage in the

hinges at an angle of 90°.

Lift them up slightly to fold them down.

7.  Unwind the connecting cable and insert the mains plug into a

plug socket.

The operating lamp (

41

) starts to light up.

USE

PLEASE NOTE!

Only use this barbecue if all parts are in their designated place

and the barbecue has been assembled properly in accordance

with the assembly steps in these assembly and operating in-

structions.

Each time before you use the barbecue, make sure that it is

undamaged and has been set up and connected correctly.

Before each use, check the grease tray and the area below the

heating elements for any grease deposits. Remove excess grease

to prevent any grease fires.

While you are barbecuing, the grill racks and the grease tray

must always be inserted.

Never place food that is still wrapped in cling film or in plastic

bags on the barbecue.
