IMPORTANT
• Carefully read the instructions given in this manual before using the coffee machine.
CONSULTING THE MANUAL
• This manual provides all the information necessary for the installation, use and maintenance
of the coffee machine.
• This manual is an integral part of the machine; always keep it intact together with the appliance.
RECOMMENDATIONS
ATTENTION IMPORTANT SAFETY MEASURES
• When electrical devices are used, the safety precautions must always be followed,
including those specified below:
• Read all the instructions
• Do not use the coffee machine or carry out any routine maintenance before reading this manual.
• This coffee machine has been designed and manufactured to produce espresso coffee. The
use of the appliance for any other than its intended purposes is considered to be improper
and unauthorized. The manufacturer declines any liability for damage resulting from the
improper use of the appliance.
• The machine must only be used by a responsible adult, who is expected to comply with local
safety regulations and accepted common sense procedures.
• The machine must never be used with the fixed and/or mobile guards removed or with the
safety devices excluded. The safety devices must never be removed or tampered with. The
panels covering the machine must never be removed (as there is the risk of electric shocks).
• Do not install the appliance in a room in which cleaning with jets of water is planned. Do not
immerse the appliance in water for cleaning purposes.
• Strict compliance with the routine maintenance instructions given in this manual is required
for a safe and efficient operation of the appliance.
• Contact an authorised service centre in the event of a fault or breakage of any component of
the coffee machine and request the use of genuine spare parts.
• If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced either by the manufacturer, an author-
ised service centre or a similarly qualified person, to avoid any risks.
• The user must never perform any operation for which he/she is unauthorized or unaware of the
correct procedure. Contact the manufacture for any information, spare parts or accessories.
• To avoid the risk of injury, cover the power supply cable above the surface where the machine
is located to prevent children from pulling on it or tripping accidentally.
• Do not touch the hot surfaces.
• To avoid fires, electrical shocks and injury to people, do not immerse the cable or the plug in
water or another liquid.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff
kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in
hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.
• Disconnect the plug from the socket when not in use and before cleaning. Let it cool down
before inserting or removing parts and before cleaning the device.
• The use of accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer could cause fires,
electrical shocks or injury to people.
• Do not use outside.
• Do not allow the cable to hang over sharp edges or near hot gas or near electric burners, or
in a hot oven.
• Do not position it above or near gas or electric devices, or in a hot oven.
• Always first insert the plug in the wall and then turn the main switch to “ ON ”. To turn it off, set
the main switch to “
OFF
” and then remove the plug from the wall socket.
• Use the machine only for its intended purpose.
