(7) Torque the RIPS Module retaining screw from 22 to 30 in-lbs.
(8) Perform a Return to Service Test on the recorder in accordance with Section
100 of this CMM.
NOTE:
The RIPS Module should provide sufficient holdup time after the
first application of power for at least 15 minutes. Once charged,
the battery should remain sufficiently charged for at least 1 year
without application of power to the recorder (when operated
within this requirement, no monitoring is required.) The RIPS
battery is an on
−
demand maintenance item, and required main-
tenance will be indicated over the recorder’s ARINC 429 OMS.
