GPS Features
Your phone’s built-in GPS capability gives you access to a number of location-based services.
Location Mode
Sprint Family Locator
Location Mode
Before using any of the location-based services, you must turn on your phone
’s location mode.
To enable your phone
’s Location feature:
1. Press

On/Off

2. Read the disclaimer and press

3. Select
On
.
When the Location feature is on, your phone
’s standby screen will display the
icon. When
Location is turned off, your phone will display the
icon.
To send the GPS log to other devices:
1. Press

Others

Location

NMEA Output

Bluetooth
or
USB
.
Note:
Turning Location on will allow the network to detect your position using GPS technology,
making some Sprint applications and services easier to use. Turning Location off will
disable the GPS location function for all purposes except 911, but will not hide your
general location based on the cell site serving your call. No application or service may
use your location without your request or permission. GPS-enhanced 911 is not
available in all areas.
Sprint Family Locator
Sprint Family Locator uses GPS technology to locate your child
’s phone and display the location
on an interactive map.
