For paper stocking, the duplex paper tapping solenoid comes on, then the duplex paper
tapping guide descends and the duplex forwarding pulley pulls the paper one sheet at a time
to the switchback roller and switchback separation belt. For paper refeed, each time one
sheet of paper is fed, the paper is pressed to the refeed roller by the duplex paper press
plate. Also, the duplex paper tapping guide presses the paper against the switchback roller.
The stocked paper is sent to the duplex conveying section by the refeed roller, switchback
roller, and switchback separation belt. The switchback separation belt rotates in the
direction to return the paper and utilizes the torque limiter effect to keep more than one sheet
from being fed. The switchback separation belt guide and middle separation belt guide are
on the bottom side of the switchback separation belt to prevent the paper from being
wrapped around the switchback separation belt.
