( 2 ) Adjusting the position of the doctor blade (reference)
Perform the following adjustment if carrier or background appears on the copy image.

Procedure
1. Take the image formation unit out of the machine. (see page 3-3-29)
2. Remove the two screws, and then the upper developing cover.

3. Insert the thickness gauge into the three point as shown in the arrow, and turning

the three screws to adjust so that the distance between the developing magnet and
the doctor blade is the correct distances: the 0.55mm gauge should go into the gap
and the 0.65 mm one should not.

* The smaller the distance, the lighter the image.

The larger the distance, the darker the image.
