4. Remove the main charger from the image formation unit. (see page 3-3-30)
5. Pull the drum shaft out of the rear side of the drum.
6. Holding the both ends of the drum, remove the drum from the image formation unit.

7. Fit the new drum.

• Orient the drum correctly, with the thin shaft hole on the machine front and the thick

shaft hole on the machine rear.

8. Push the drum shaft into the rear of the drum and, while turning the shaft, insert it

fully into the drum.

• Ensure there is a clearance of about 1mm between the E ring on the drum shaft and

the drum rear bushing.

9. Refit the main charger to the image formation unit.
10. Push up the blade attachment plate, slide the blade lever toward the front side to

put the cleaning blade to the drum.

11. Refit the image formation unit to the machine, and then close the front cover.
12. After replacing the drum, perform ( 8 ) Setting exposure amount. (see page 3-3-54)
