Instructions (Cont.)
ADDING INGREDIENTS
First wet ingredients
(as per recipe):
Water, oil, eggs (beaten), butter (cut
into chunks or slightly melted)
Then dry ingredients
(as per recipe):
Flour, salt, sugar, milk powder
Then yeast
: As yeast should not come in contact with liquids or salt before
the dough kneading starts, make a cavity in the flour with your finger and put
the yeast there. Close the hole and make another hole for the salt.
Step 1: Prepare the baking tin
Remove the baking tin from the appliance and place the clean kneading
paddles on the spindles inside the tin (see Fig. 1, page 13).
NOTE:
We recommend you grease the paddles with butter before assembly.
This will make it easier to remove them from the baked bread and help
avoid dough ingress under them during operation.
Step 2: Add ingredients
Put all the ingredients in the baking tin in the order described in your recipe
(see below for the usual sequence). All ingredients should be at room
temperature. (Warm water may only be used for the Extra Fast program.)
IMPORTANT!
• Before using the bread maker, make sure you (and anyone who uses this
appliance) have read and understood the safety advice on pages 5–7 and
the general product information on the previous pages.
• While this bread maker is intended for operation within a wide range of
temperatures, please note that excessively high or low temperatures in
the room will affect the dough rising process and consequently the size
and density of the bread. The most optimal ambient temperature in the
room is within the 15–34°C range.

Step 3: Clean up spills
Make sure not to spill any ingredients into the process chamber (the area
surrounding the baking tin). Keep the outside of the baking tin clean and
make sure that the heating element does not come into contact with dough or
ingredients.
