Push the choke lever up all the way to the stop.

Forcefully step on the kick starter, pushing it all the way forward.

Starting up

The plug-in stand must be removed before beginning to ride.

Open the throttle carefully.

Riding
Info
If you hear unusual noises while riding, stop immediately, switch off the engine, and contact an authorized KTM workshop.

If the choke function was activated, deactivate it after the engine has warmed up.
–
After reaching maximum speed by fully opening the throttle grip, turn the throttle back so it is ¾ open. This will barely reduce the
speed but fuel consumption will be considerably lower.
–
Your child should always open the throttle only as much as the engine can handle
–
abruptly opening the throttle increases fuel
consumption.
–
Your child should switch off the engine if he or she expects to be standing for a long time.

Applying the brakes
Warning

Excessively forceful application of the brakes blocks the wheels.

Explain to your child that he or she must adapt the braking to the traffic situation and the road conditions.

A spongy pressure point on the front or rear brake reduces braking efficiency.

Check the brake system and do not allow your child to continue riding until the problem is eliminated. (Your authorized
KTM workshop will be glad to help.)

Moisture and dirt impair the brake system.

Explain to your child that he or she must brake carefully several times to dry out and remove dirt from the brake linings and
the brake discs.

On sandy, wet, or slippery surfaces, use the rear brake.

Always finish braking before you go into a bend.

Stopping, parking

Risk of misappropriation
People who act without authorization endanger themselves and others.

Do not leave the vehicle unattended if the engine is running.

Protect the vehicle against access by unauthorized persons.

Danger of burns
Some vehicle components become very hot when the vehicle is operated.

Do not touch any parts such as the exhaust system, radiator, engine, shock absorber, or brake system before the vehicle
parts have cooled down.
–
Let the vehicle parts cool down before you perform any work on the vehicle.
