Chapter 3
5
Until the image reading process has
ended, and the Busy Lamp (blue) has
turned off, do not touch the device or
cause it to vibrate .
CAUTION
•
Do not touch the device, the inserted cassette, or the
platform/table the device is set on during the image
reading process . If other device(s) are placed on the
same platform, make sure their vibration does not
interfere with this device . Vibration may cause the im-
age to shake .
•
Do not open or close any device doors during the im-
age reading process . Doing so will cause the device to
stop working, which may result in a plate jam or image
loss .
•
When the image reading process and image
erase process end, the Ready Lamp (green) will
start blinking, which indicates that the cassette
can be removed .
6
Confirm that the Ready Lamp is blinking,
then remove the cassette .
•
When removing the cassette, the device initial-
ization process will begin, and the Busy Lamp
will be lit .
•
Once the initialization process has ended, the
Busy Lamp will turn off, and the Ready Lamp
will be lit .
IMPORTANT
•
Do not insert the cassette during the initialization pro-
cess (while the Busy Lamp is lit) . Doing so will cause
initialization to end abnormally, and an error will occur .
HINT
When an image remains after being erased once
•
After reading an image, the image erase process will
be performed . When the image erase process was
performed once for an image exposed at high dosage,
etc ., but was not completely erased, the second image
erase process will be performed .
There are two ways to execute the second erase pro
-
cess: “Auto Run” and “Display message then se lect
run” . The setting can be changed by the user tool .
Refer to the Image processing controller Operation
Manual .
When responding to a message to perform the
second erase process
•
If you need to perform the second erase process, the
Error Lamp (yellow) will light up, and an image re-
erase request message will be displayed in the Image
processing controller .
•
Clicking the [Continue] button at the message will start
the image erase process .
• Clicking the [Eject] button will eject the cassette, and
the second erase process will not be performed . When
doing this, make sure to perform the image erase pro-
cess at a later time .
When an error occurs for a read image
If an error occurs for a read image, take the following
steps. Do not resume reading with this device or expo
-
sure with the image-reading plate until the issue has
been resolved .
When a white line error occurs
Light collection unit might be soiled with dust or debris .
Clean the light collection unit .
REFERENCE
•
Refer to “6 .2 .4 Light Collection Unit Cleaning (Keeping
Them Dust Free)”(p . 65)
When other errors occur
The plate might be dirty . Clean the plate .
HINT
•
White streaks may form roughly 2mm from the edge of
the image, but this is not considered abnormal .
