Enhanced FAX Operations

NOTE:

The following message appears if memory becomes full while the fax is scanning a
document.

Fax screen Copy screen

•

If you would like to transmit the portion of the document stored in memory,

press the Start key to perform transmission. The machine transmits the portion
of the document that is store in memory.

•

If you want to delete the portion of the document stored in memory, press the

Yes key to select CANCEL. This deletes the contents of the document.

•

If you fail to make a choice within 1 min. after the above message has appeared,

the contents of the document will be automatically deleted.

NOTE:

•

Auto Redial has been factory-set, so you needn’t to set it.

•

The redial interval time and number of redials are depending on the
country in which the machine is used. Consult your Tech. Rep. for
more details.

NOTE:

•

When transmitting a document using the Direct TX mode and the line is busy,

the LCD will display REDIAL WAITING and wait for the time interval to
redial; You can press the Stop key to cancel the transmission, but your machine
would not print out an error report.

•

In Direct transmission mode, if all of the redials fail, to make a connection no

error report will be printed.

Retrying the Same Destination (Redial TX)

Redial TX would display the unsuccessful previously dialed destination. The following
two sub-features are available.

1) Auto Redial

If the line is busy, the machine temporarily stops dialing and dials the party again
several seconds later . This redialing sequence is repeated several times.

2) Manual Redial

The last dialed number is redialed by touching the Redial/Pause key.
