Specifying Macintosh settings
Use the Macintosh computer that is connected to specify the TCP/IP and
AppleTalk settings.

For network settings, consult the network administrator.
For Mac OS X

From the Apple menu, select “System Preferences”.

Click the “Network” icon.

From “View”, select “Ethernet built-in”.

Click the AppleTalk tab.

Check that the “Use AppleTalk” check box is selected.

Click the TCP/IP tab.

Select the items from “Configure” that correspond to the network set-
tings for the Macintosh computer that is connected to the network, and
then set the IP address and subnet mask.

Click the close button in the upper-left corner of the dialog box.
The “Apply Changes?” message appears.

Click the [Apply] button.
The AppleTalk and Ethernet settings are saved.
