If soot accumulation level (4) is lit 3 or more, the regenera-
tion is started automatically.

REMARK

• When canceling the regeneration disable, set the lock

lever to LOCK position and set the fuel control dial to
Low idle (MIN) position, then cancel the regeneration
disable.

• The regeneration disable setting is also canceled by

turning the starting switch to OFF position to stop the
engine.

INDUCEMENT STRATEGY WHEN ABNORMALITIES ARE DETECTED IN THE
NOx CONTROL SYSTEM

If any abnormality is detected in the NOx control, the Inducement strategy is activated.
Inducement strategy includes engine output deration, speed limitation or other warning actions intend to prompt
the operator to maintain or repair NOx control system.
The inducement strategy progresses in 3 levels, “Escalated Warning”, “Mild Inducement” and “Severe Induce-
ment”.
The Inducement strategy includes visual alert by the NOx control system caution lamp (1), and Action Level dis-
played on the machine monitor (2), and the audible alert by a buzzer and stepwise engine power deration that
advances to speed limitation to low.
Engine power deration starts with Action Level “L03 (Mild In-
ducement)” and advances to further deration when “L04 (Se-
vere Inducement)” is displayed. If “L03” is displayed, move the
machine to a safe place and contact your Komatsu distributor.
The content of the warning can be checked on the “NOx Con-
trol System Info” screen of the user menu.
Perform the following procedure.
Press F4 (3) on the standard screen to display the “NOx Con-
trol System Info” screen of the user menu.

“NOx Control System Info” screen displays remaining time to
the next Inducement status in the column (6), and information
on the NOx control system condition (4), and the current status
of Inducement (5).

• Escalated Warning:

The audible alert sounds in repetition of “three beeps and
a pause”.
The NOx control system caution lamp (1) lights up in yel-
low.
Action level “L03” lights up in red at action level display (2)
and stays on.
Press F4 to display the “NOx Control System Info” screen.
