Operation
BlueShadow Detector 40D Instructions V7647
Analog input
setup
The external λ input pin header
connector on the back of the de-
vice enables external control of
the wavelength of the detector,
through a positive analog volta-
ge that is applied against the pin
header connector AGND .
By activating
Set zero (by
using the vertical arrow keys)
a voltage can be defined as
the spectral zero point for the
wavelength 000 nm . Typically,
a voltage of 0 is used in this
case
.
If a different positive control
voltage is applied, the current
“λ” field displays a resulting
wavelength with a scaling
factor of 100 nm/V .
This wavelength (WL) can
then be adjusted . Thus, a
second calibration point is
generated, which modifies
the scaling factor .
Note:
Before operating this
configuration, change the com-
munication setup of the detector
to Analog (see also Control Set-
up option above) .
Event check
Check the functionality of
the terminal strip/pin header
connectors .
Inputs
: Menu shows the
status of “Start IN”, “Error IN”
and “Autozero” (0 – inactive,
1 – active) .
Activate only
: Activate events
1 – 3, named “EV1”, “EV2”
and “EV3” and +24V voltage
output .
Note:
p . 23 for details on permissi-
ble signal voltages, loads, etc .
Display setup
Adapt
Brightness and Contrast
of the display, as well as the
brightness of the status LED via
LED power .
