5.5.6
Foot Switch Mounting
If not used, the foot switch can be suspended from the
2 mounting elements on the side of the laser surgery
device. For this purpose, there are 2 mounting holes on the
bottom of the casing of the step-on protection casing. The
foot switch cable can be wrapped around the casing plate
for storage.
5.5.7
Cable Clamp
The cable clamp (3, Fig. 5-1) prevents the device connector from being loosened in the mains
connection socket or accidentally pulled out. It may only be used with the original mains cable.
Lift up cable clamp before connecting the device connector, plug connector in and put clamp
over device connector.
5.5.8
Interlock Connector Connection
NOTICE
Do not plug interlock connector into the foot switch socket (6, Fig. 5-1)! If the interlock
connector is plugged into the foot switch socket, operation is not possible:
•
An message appears on the display.
•
The laser surgery device
cannot
be switched into
LASER READY
mode and
cannot
be
activated.
The interlock connector is a circular 3-pin connector that is plugged into the connection
socket (4, Fig. 5-1) on the rear of the MCO 25 plus.
NOTICE
The MCO 25 plus cannot be activated without the interlock connector (supplied with bypass).
When the OR door is opened, the interlock contact on the OR door is opened. In this case, the
MCO 25 plus will immediately stop laser emission and switch into STANDBY mode. The
message
INTERLOCK ERROR
appears on the display, see section 11 “Troubleshooting”,
page 101.
Clearing the
INTERLOCK ERROR
message:
•
Close OR door.
•
Press button
LASER READY
, see section 6.5.1 “Key Pad”, page 51.
•
The laser treatment can be continued.
The switch contact of the interlock connector must be a potential-free (floating) connection.
This contact must be suitable for 24 V/0.1 A DC.
