Running the S-Parameter Characterization
On State and Off State S-Parameter Characterization

The PD1000A Control Software system prompts you to calibrate the Network
Analyzer.
Calibrate the ENA with the appropriate PD1000A Test Fixture connected.
Use the Calibration Standards supplied with the test fixture. Refer to the
PD1000A Test Fixture User Guide
for calibration details.

If you have already calibrated the analyzer, click the
Continue
button.

If you want to check the existing calibration or recalibrate for a different
DUT, click the
Check Calibration
button. This opens the calibration wizard on
the analyzer and adds four new buttons to the Calibration Check dialog.
These buttons are designed to help you with the calibration procedure.
-- Click the
Open
,
Short
, or
Load
button to display a correct calibration
pattern for the network analyzer during the calibration process.
-- Click Reset Calibration to reset all calibration settings for the analyzer
and fixture.
-- After calibrating, remove the calibration standards from the test fixture
and insert the DUT. Click
Continue
.

After initialization, etc. the test runs and the S-Parameter plots appear on
PD1000A software display (on the host PC). Refer to
