The probes are supplied with three interchangeable R
SENSE
probe
heads: N2822A, N2824A, and N2825A. To begin using the probe,
refer to “Quick Start” on page 23. Figure 3 on page 21 illustrates
the relative merits of using the three different heads with the
different sensor leads.
N2822A and N2824A
Probe Heads
The N2822A and N2824A heads include built-in internal R
SENSE
resistors. Because the oscilloscope recognizes when these probes
are connected, the oscilloscope automatically knows the value of
the R
SENSE
resistor when calculating measurements.

The N2825A user-defined head does not include an R
SENSE
resistor
and is selected in situations when you want to use your own
external DUT-mounted R
SENSE
